Car Donations
The car donation process is simple. All you need to do is call the charity and someone will come to pick up your vehicle, or tell you where to take. However, with so many charities to choose from and so many people trying to scam the innocent, picking the organization is not easy always right.

On this page you will find some general tips you can use when you're trying to decide where and how to donate your vehicle.

First steps to take when donating a car
Before donating your car charity, the IRS advises you:

Research charity or organization you are donating to.
See if you get a tax benefit for your donation. (Must charity / organization donates to qualify. 501 (c) (3) common types of organizations that make you eligible for a tax deduction.)
Look up the value of your car (however, you can deduct only the amount actually sells the charity of your car).

The choice is yours, but before donating your car, make sure your charity of choice recognized by the IRS. Otherwise, the deduction will be denied.
